The Programme Specialist ensures the effective, quality and timely management and coordination of UNFPA projects and activities in the area of GBV. S/he oversees project formulation, implementation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks. S/he will aim at strengthening and reinforcing UNFPA’s lead role in GBV through provision of high quality technical assistance for government and other national counterparts. S/he ensures provision of the needed technical support and guidance towards promoting integration of Gender and GBV issues into national development agenda.
